Writing T2 week 8
Hello and welcome back to my blog today, as you may already know I forgot to post my blogs from week 7 - 11 so im going to be showing you guys my writing task from week 8 term 2!! Down below is what I wrote for writing. It was narrative writing so I hope you enjoy reading my story.
"Up above the mountains and valleys, every stork has a special job to deliver and bring happiness into people's lives. But every stork has a different cloud maker like some are crazy, some are funny and some are angry. But this particular cloud maker in the sky is a very specific one, his name is Gus and he is kind and caring too. But he has trouble creating soft and heartfelt animals, Gus has a stork named Peck and Peck has to deliver animals Gus makes. But Gus creates Vicious and harmful animals like a porcupine and a baby croc, one day Peck exhaustedly flies to Gus. As Gus turns around he looks sad so then peck reaches out for the creation Gus had made and as soon as Peck holds the animal it turns into a porcupine! Peck’s eyes go wide and he screams, he throws up the porcupine catches it but has to catch it not realising he would get spiked. He screams even more and throws it to each of his wings Gus takes the porcupine out of Peck’s wings. Gus packs the porcupine and gives the bag to Peck. As Peck flies back to Gus he arrives to him with spikes all over his head."

Creativity Reflection
Hi today, I will be doing my Creativity reflection. If you have seen the collaboration one this will be the same but different part. This one is about creativity so now I will start answering some of the questions.
What kind of thinker am I?
I am the type of thinker the would keep my ideas to myself
and I hope people will understand. I like to express my self in abstract ways.
When put in a collaborative task, I will contribute some ideas, and try and build on what they say.
What creative thinking skills do I have and which could I work on and why?
My creativity style is writing. I think I can be very closed minded at times and could really work on thinking outside the box, since I struggle to get solid ideas. My creativity is limited when it comes to certain things. But if I get a idea it could usually be a good one.
What aspects of creative thinking do I find the hardest
To me I think that getting solid ideas is really hard for me, and it takes me so long to think about something. But then I end up second guessing myself.
I hope you enjoyed reading my blog today! have a great day bye!!

Collaboration reflection
As you may already know my school st Francis of Assisi has a fair that is happening on this Sunday 8th of march 2020. My group and I are running a game called knock the bottle's, I think my group did well with collaborating with each other. Here are two reason's on how my group did well collaborating with each other. Reason number 1 is communicating. My group and I did well on talking to each other if we had an idea. Lastly reason number 2 is listening to each other, I think we (Me and my group) did well on listening to each other because if we had a idea we didn't just talk over each other. But instead we listened to the idea one of us had.
I think that my group and I could've improved to just move forward anytime we would have a disagreement. But above all that I think we did amazingly well with our collaboration and team work!!

Welcome to 2020!!
Hi there, welcome to 2020. I am a year 7 at st Francis of Assisi school, and I will be looking forward to the work us year 7/8's will be doing this year. My hopes for this year is that I will be able to make new friends and get to my workshop's on time. During the holiday's I went to Auckland, while I was in Auckland I celebrated my nephew's 2nd birthday. We rented a bouncy castle for him and his cousins, My nephew's birthday cake was a drum cake because he loves playing drums the inside of his birthday cake was vanilla and chocolate. After being in Auckland for like a week, we went back to New Zealand. Later in the holiday's I had a Sleepover with my one of my friend's because I haven't seen her since she moved school's. But I did more stuff during the holidays, At school my home base teacher is Ms Parker I enjoy my school because I know that I have friends that love and support me. So far that has been my 2020. This is now the end of my blog for now, thank you for reading my blog.
What are you're hopes for this year?

Reading week 3
Hi welcome back to my blog and this week my reading goal has been Identify at least one important idea and justify why it is important. For my reading task we had to read a country profile about Papua New Guinea, then we had to choose an important idea and make a poster or pair about Papua New Guinea. We also had to explain why we think the idea is important, I also did my reading task with my two friend's Isabella and Eilish. This is my google drawing.
That was my google drawing, do you know any fun facts about countries?

TOP TEAM!!
On Friday, the year 5/6 and 7/8 were lucky enough to take part in a fun organisation called top team. During the games I was in A team with Max Martin, Grace Ngariki, Zoe Newdick, Cooper, Tu, Ebony and me! There were thirteen activities and the first one we did was called sack race. The aim to play sack race is that we have to hop into a sack and jump like a bunny to one of the cones and back, each lap we did scores us 5 points. We got 20 points for four laps and in each activity you have to earn as many points you can my team got 368 points in total.
The last activity we did was called water bus. we all were so glad it was the last because it was so hot like 27 degrees, So the aim to the game water bus is to see which team can fill each bucket the fastest. So we all got soaked obviously, but some of us did it on purpose. we were all so relieved because the water was so nice and cold. then we all had to get changed into our spare clothes (Mufti) and that was how my school top team went.
Have you ever done top team before?

Trip to the museum
On the 16th of September tumu hub went to a Museum, we were there for the whole school day and everything we saw there was very beautiful and interesting. We heard a story about this Maori Green stone keeper and a Sandstone keeping about how they always used to fight each other and the Green stone keeper fell in love. So then Anthony gave us some time to have a look around in the room we were in and it showed the flightless bird and some people from 500 or 400 years ago catching them and cooking them. after we went into another part of the museum, and this time Anthony explained to us how the Maori language was never a written language but just an oral language. After he explained he let us examine the room we were in, Then he took us to this cool room where we got to do some activities like trying to start a fire with tool that the people used 500 or 600 years ago and the axe and some more!! Please check out the photos of the Museum down bellow.
After learning new things about the Maori culture we got to look around the museum and watch a mini movie.
What things do you know about the Maori Culture?

O Le Malaga Fa'a'atua- The Journey Of The Gods
This morning, My hub and the kaupeka hub watched a play. It was called O Le Malaga Fa'A'atua or in English translation The Journey Of The Gods. The actors that did the play for us were Thalia, Jake, and Manu. The story is about an eel that turned into a coconut tree, Involving the most famous...MAUI. It was very funny and definitely a memory im pretty sure the whole tumu and kaupeka hub won't forget. Sadly we don't have any photos of the play because no photos were allowed to be taken, I'd like to give Thalia, Jake, and Manu a rally big thanks for coming to St Francis Of Assisi school and performing your play. I really enjoyed it and loved the part of where you were all making fun of Maui.
If you have seen them come to your school, what would your favourite part be?
